Beneficial to combat stress and daily anxieties, yoga helps us to regain our psycho/physical balance. Harmoniously combining mind and body is the main goal of this discipline.
The lesson begins with concentration on breathing (deeply and slowly), then we move on to the more "physical" practice with asanas and vinyasana (postures and sequences of postures) followed by a variety of pranayamas (prana = vital energy; yama = control and ayama = expansion). The lesson concludes with the practice of yoga nidra (final guided relaxation).
