The Val di Sogno® is located on the northeast coast of Lake Garda, in the district of Verona, 2 km south from Malcesine (Zip Code 37018). It is not on the Gardesana Orientale, the main road that runs along the entire lake, but it is located directly on the shore in Via Val di Sogno 14-16.

From North – The Brennero A22 motorway: exit Rovereto Sud/Lago di Garda Nord, follow the SS240 road in direction of Lake Garda until Torbole, then proceed on the SS249 road to Malcesine, continue for 2 km until reaching Val di Sogno; at the roundabout, on the left side after the Despar supermarket, turn into Via Val di Sogno and continue for about 300 m until you reach the hotel entrance on the right (second gate in Corten steel).
From East or West – The motorway A4 (Milan-Venice) to Verona, take the junction for the A22 Brennero motorway: exit Affi/Lago di Garda Sud, head towards Lake Garda: drive on the SP9 road up to Costermano, then take the SP8 road to Garda, continue on the SS249 road (Gardesana Orientale) for about 20 km until Cassone, proceed 2 km more and you are in Val di Sogno. At the roundabout, on the left side of the Despar supermarket, turn into Via Val di Sogno for about 300 m until you reach the hotel entrance on the left (second gate in Corten steel).
From South – The motorway A22 to Mantova - Verona, proceed north for about 30 km until exit Affi/Lago di Garda Sud, head towards Lake Garda: follow the SP9 road up to Costermano, then take the SP8 road to Garda. Continue on the SS249 road (the Gardesana Orientale) for about 20 km until Cassone, proceed other 2 km and you are in Val di Sogno.
At the roundabout, on the left side of the supermarket Despar supermarket, turn into Via Val di Sogno for about 300 m until you reach the hotel entrance on the left (second gate in Corten steel).
From Verona - Villafranca Valerio Catullo airport, direct transfer to the hotel via taxi or local public service bus on Verona ATV line 483 or 484.
The stop is at Val di Sogno about 350 m from the hotel entrance.

From other airports, e.g., Venice-Marco Polo, Bergamo-Orio al Serio, Milan-Linate, or Milan-Malpensa, transfer directly to the hotel by taxi or by train to Verona centro-Porta Nuova or Peschiera del Garda station; from there by cab or regular bus to the Val di Sogno stop about 350 m from the hotel entrance.

YES ✔ From and to the Villafranca - Verona airport Valerio Catullo there is public bus to the Val di Sogno bus stop, about 350 m from the hotel entrance or by local taxi or hotel transferservice (by reservation and for a fee). This service is also available for other airports or train stations. From the railway stations of Rovereto, Peschiera del Garda and Verona centre - Porta Nuova there is a public bus line or private transfer.

The hotel transfer service must be booked at least 3 working days prior to arrival/departure for organizational reasons. The costs vary depending on the route, the number of people and the point of departure.
Currently for 2024 the fare (single journey) for 1, 2 or 3 people with luggage for a transfer from Verona – Villafranca, Valerio Catulloairport is 135 €*; from the Venice - Marco Polo airport it costs 375 €*; from Bergamo - Orio al Serio airport it costs 295 €*; from Milan - Linate airport it costs 375 €*; from Milan - Malpensa airport it costs 435 €*.
For 4 (maximum 8) people with luggage, there is an additional fee of 10 € per person on the base fare of 135 €* for a transfer from Verona – Villafranca Valerio Catullo airport; from Venice - Marco Polo airport there is an additional fee of 20 € per person on the base fare of 375 €*; from Bergamo - Orio al Serio airport, there is an additional fee of 15 € per person on the base fare of 295 €*; from Milan - Linate airport there is an additional fee of 20 € per person on the base fare of 375 €* and from Milan - Malpensa airport there is an additional fee of 25 € per person on the base fare of 435 €*.
For 1, 2 or 3 people with luggage, the fare for a transfer from the Verona Porta Nuova train station is 145 €*; from the Peschiera del Garda train station it is 125 €*, from the Rovereto train station it is 90 €*; and from the Trento train station it is 145 €*.
For 4 (maximum 8 people) with luggage, there is an additional fee of 10 € per person on the base fare of 145 €* for a transfer from the Verona Porta Nuova train station; from the Peschiera del Garda train station there is an additional fee of 10 € per person on the base fare of 125 €*; from the Rovereto train station there is an additional fee of 7,50 € per person on the base fare of 90 €*; and from the Trento train station there is an additional fee of 10 € per person on the base fare of 134 €*.
*For nighttime transfers (between 01:00 and 06:00), there is a 30% surcharge.
Val di Sogno® is situated 2 km south from the historical centre of Malcesine, reachable by a lovely walk along the lake about 20-25 minutes following the pedestrian path Val di Sogno-Lido Sopri-Lungolago-via Roma and illuminated in the evening/night hours.
You can also reach the centre with the Tourist Bus service provided by the municipality of Malcesine (shuttle runs hourly from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. - or until midnight in high season) or by public transport, with the Verona ATV line 483 or line 484. The Val di Sogno® is located in the northeast of Lake Garda, 2 km south from Malcesine, where the cable car takes you to the top of Monte Baldo mountain chain. For more details www.funiviedelbaldo.it.
The hotel is an excellent starting point for excursions to discover wonderful places and to enjoy exceptional experiences. You will be spoilt for choice, from visits to fishing villages, vineyards, lemon groves, olive groves to ancient castles and sumptuous villas. Then there are boat excursions, food and wine tours, cultural tours and the possibility to practice sports activities both on land and on the lake.
For moments of pure fun, we also recommend the theme parks of Gardaland, Caneva World, Movieland and Jungle Adventure Park.
In Malcesine, you should not miss a visit to the Scaliger Castle, the Captain’s Palace and the parish church of S. Stefano. Finally, in the immediate surroundings, we recommend discovering Navene and Cassone, which houses the Fishing Museum and the Aril, the shortest river in Europe, and stopping at the Hermitage of San Benigno and Caro.

In recent years, we have frequently heard from guests and friends that this is a unique place, full of charm on a manageable and livable scale.
To continue on this path, after long reflections, aware that we cannot satisfy everyone, we have made the decision to put those who book a stay at Val di Sogno® first and give them the prerogative and privilege of experiencing all the well-being and the charm of our place.
For this reason, the rooms and all the services of our hotel are reserved exclusively for those who stay there, and only during the period of their stay they can access Val di Sogno® to enjoy the quiet of this place in complete serenity and privacy.
YES ✔ At Val di Sogno® there is an outdoor swimming pool (depth 1.30 m, width 7 m and length 12 m) with Whirlpool. The service is reserved exclusively for hotel guests and is free.
The swimming pool is heated to 25°C and is accessible from 8 am to 7 pm from June to mid-September; during the low season (April, May, late September and October) the pool is covered at night to maintain the water temperature; therefore, in these periods bathing is possible from 9:30 am to 6:30 pm.
We do not have an indoor swimming pool, nor whirlpool on the terraces or in the rooms.
YES ✔ At Val di Sogno® there is the possibility of charging your electric car with a type 2 e-charger (€ 20 for recharge). Remember to bring your own cable from home.

Of course, we also accept cash in Euro (as defined by law) as well as debit cards. We do not accept cheques, foreign currencies or other credit cards.
YES ✔ At Val di Sogno® there is one free parking place per room available, located in the parking area within the structure. There is also a garage with a designated spot for your own sports equipment such as mountain bikes, e-bicycles, etc.
The service is free of charge. No reservatons necessary.
YES ✔ Val di Sogno® is a B&B resort, therefore it only offers bed and breakfast.
However, we take care of our guests and have expanded the B&B concept with an à la carte menu, for both lunch and dinner, served on the Val di Sogno® terrace overlooking the lake.

Of course, we will be happy to recommend restaurants in the area for dinner or for a special occasion.
Please note that reservations are required for dinner at reception by 6:30 pm and that on Wednesdays the restaurant is closed for dinner. There are many alternatives: in Malcesine and its surroundings there are various clubs and restaurants to try.
YES ✔ At Val di Sogno® there is a cocktail bar & lounge with terrace and lake view. It is open from 12 noon to 11 pm exclusively for guests of the hotel (guests only).
From June to September the pool bar is open from 12:30 am to 6 pm, for a cool drink or snack by the pool (for a fee), in a more casual atmosphere.
Family members, friends and / or acquaintances who want to greet guests in the hotel may do so with prior request by the guest at the reception desk and authorization from the manangement.
They can access the bar, cocktail lounge and the terrace only.
Other services of the hotel are exclusively for guests booked in the hotel. This is to ensure peace and privacy for our guests.
YES ✔ All rooms and public areas of the Val di Sogno® are equipped with a free Wi-Fi internet connection. To access you need a password available at reception.
YES ✔ Exclusively for hotel guests, we provide the wellness “Piccolo Sogno” area with Finnish sauna, Turkish bath, experiential showers, ice waterfall, cold steam and the heated relaxation area with comfortable chaise lounge and evocative salt wall, as well as direct view of the lake, here always at your side. A little dream world just for you.
To ensure correct cleaning and sanitation according to the actual protocols, access is personal (private spa), therefore only by reservation and subject to availability for a maximum of 3 hours of use and for a fee (€ 80 for 1 or 2 people, € 160 for 3, max 4 people).

There are no massages or beauty treatments of any kind. We can reserve these services in a nearby wellness centre.
YES ✔ At Val di Sogno® there are 2 elevators, a small central one and a larger one. The latter is sufficiently spacious for the transport of people with wheelchairs.

YES ✔ At Val di Sogno® we do have a small but well-equipped gym with view on the lake. The access is free and allowed from 8 am until 10 pm.
YES ✔ The Val di Sogno® is situated directly on the lake shore. No roads in between, just a few steps adjoining the terrace and hotel outdoor area and you are already at the beach. In the township of Malcesine beaches are public property, so there is no private beach.
Please note that the beach on the lakeshore is made of pebbles, not sand.
YES ✔ All rooms, junior suites and suites of Val di Sogno® are positioned towards the lake and have a balcony furnished with chairs and a table so you can admire the view in blissful privacy.

NO ✘ At Val di Sogno® all common areas, rooms, junior suites and suites are strictly "no smoking". It is requested not to smoke in the room, in the corridors and in the common areas (including the terrace) as per current Italian regulations.
Smokers can use the balcony of their room and the 2 outdoor smoking areas, (entry, pool bar area) taking care not to bother other guests.
This also applies to electronic cigarettes.
NO ✘ Pets are not allowed at Val di Sogno®.
We pay attention to all hotel guests, even those who are not animal sympathizers or have allergies to animal hair. And we make no exceptions for how polite or small they are, out of respect for those who have left their beloved dog or cat or other pet at home, to be able to spend a holiday here with us.
NO ✔ We are not the right place to host groups neither for for stays, nor for celebrations such as birthdays, anniversaries, hen/stag parties or weddings.
One of our strengths and a valid reason for choosing among the excellent hotels on Lake Garda is the particular serenity and tranquillity of the environment found here in Val di Sogno®.
A group of people who celebrate a special occasion would create confusion and take away harmony and serenity from the usual atmosphere that dominates our structure. Therefore, we do not organize weddings or events, business or party dinners or lunches, and we do not accept groups.
Our hotel is mainly structured for a relaxing stay for two.
NO ✘ We love children and their spontaneous verve, but we are aware that in an environment like ours, where there is peace and quiet, they would not be comfortable. For this reason, in 2020 we decided to become an Adults Only hotel and therefore we are not able to meet the demands of families with infants, children and/or young people under the age of 18.

The rooms are available to guests from 3 pm.
If you arrive earlier and the room is ready, you can check-in earlier than the established time. Otherwise, you can leave you luggage with us, complete the required formalities and use the common areas of the hotel while waiting for your room to be cleaned and sanitized correctly, according to our company protocol.
The reception desk is open until 10 pm, after which the night porter will welcome you.
Simply leave the required documents to complete the check-in formalities and collect your room access card. The hotel gates are usually closed around midnight, but both gates have a bell.
In case you plan to arrive after 6 pm, we kindly ask you to advise us by calling the number (+39) 045 7400108.
From 7:30 to 11 am, the reception staff is available for you to settle your bill. The tourist tax is to be paid on the day of departure at the same time as check-out. Check out time is by 11 am on the day of departure.
In case of an early departure before 7;30 am, we kindly ask you to pay the previous evening, preferably by 9 pm and to notify the reception staff as soon as possible. In this way, the night porter will be ready to open the gates at the time you wish and you can depart without worries.
NO ✘ At the moment, this option is not offered. Check out time is by 11 am on the day of departure. Please note that the determination of both check-in and check-out times serves to ensure the correct cleaning and sanitizing protocols for each hotel room.

In order to confirm a reservation at Val di Sogno®, a deposit of 30% of the cost of your reservation is requested.
For online reservations (both from the site and from our offers via e-mail) you will be connected directly to the NEXI system to charge the amount on your credit card (we recommend Visa or Mastercard). If the charge is not successful, the system will automatically cancel the reservation within 30 minutes and it will not be considered valid.
For telephone reservations, bank transfer is requested within the following 24 hours or, if there is no time for a transfer, we will ask for your credit card details for direct debit (in this case we only accept Visa and MasterCard). If the charge is not successful or we do not receive the bank transfer within the established terms, the reservation will not be considered valid and therefore cancelled.

In the unfortunate instance in which you have to cancel your reservation at Val di Sogno®, please send a written confirmation to info@hotelvaldisogno.com. During the hotel opening months (from April to October) you can also call (+39) 045 74 00 108.
The specific cancellation conditions are attached to each direct booking confirmation. We therefore invite you to read them to find out when and if the payment of a penalty is required and how much this amounts to.
Here are the details of the general cancellation terms applied for the 2024 season that you will find in all our direct offers and booking confirmations, too.
For stays with arrival in April and October 2024 the following cancellation policy will apply:
The period of stay can be changed free of charge up to 15 days before arrival.
For stays arriving in May, June, July, August and September 2024, the following cancellation policy will apply:
The period of stay can be changed free of charge up to 31 days before arrival.
We will refund the deposit paid at the time of booking; also prepayments are refundable by bank transfer, net of 35 € for management costs.
Non-refundable reservations are, as the name suggests, not refundable under any circumstances. Therefore, there will be no refunds for any cancelled room.
Reservations with special offers have a specific cancellation policy, and the cancellation terms are indicated in the offers sent, as well as in the booking confirmation (they may vary from what is written above).
Reservations made through portals (ie. Booking.com, Expedia, Hotels.com, HotelBeds.com) or third parties (travel agencies, tour operators, holiday designers, etc.) have a specific cancellation policy, which differs from the one above. For these reservations, the policy stated on your booking confirmation applies.
