Lake Garda laps the shores
of three different Italian regions:
Trentino-Southern Tyrol, Veneto and Lombardy.
The Venetian coast, at the bottom of the
Monte Baldo, offers seven small villages
with specific characteristic each.
Starting from the North there is
Malcesine with its Castle situated on a
rock and its typical alleys and shops, bars
and restaurants very suitable for romantic
walks. Thanks the picturesque harbor it is
possible to do lovely excursions by boat or
even crossing the lake by ferry with the car
reaching the opposite town of Limone. Using
the modern cable way with wholly rotating
cars, you reach the top of the Monte Baldo
(1800m), which is also known as “The botanic
Garden of Europe”, and you may enjoy
breathtaking views.
The stunning surrounding of Brenzone
is suitable for excursions by bike or also
for nice walks and has a big gastronomic
heritage. It also offers lots of charming
churches and a very religious mood, thanks
to the Center of Culture and Spirituality
“Garda House Family” in Castelletto.
Just another few kilometers away you find
Torri del Benaco, famous for the castle
“Scaligero” and several hiking-trails, also
suitable to practice Nordic Walking.
Passing the point of the “S. Vigilio”
peninsula (favorite destination of Winston
Churchill) and the neighboring bay “Baia di
Sirene” you reach Garda, the village
which today gives the name of the Lake. Its
church and “Camaldolesi” hermitage are very
popular places of pilgrimage.
Continuing the lake coast southwards, you
soon reach Bardolino and its famous
wine-growing area which is particularly
noted for the “Bardolino DOC”. Furthermore
it offers also a very interesting Olive-oil
museum and shop with local products. This
part of the lake attracs lots of young
people due to the fact that there are

historical background and is nowadays a
business centre with several sport
facilities (among all sailing, golf,
football, tennis, horse-riding, fishing)
Reached at the most southern point of the

which probably is the most famous village of
the lake, always nominated in guide tours.
Ever since it has been attracting poets and
writers from all over the world (see “Grotte
di Catullo”). It is also well-known for its
many relaxing and spa areas.
Returning northwards on the western side of
the lake you reach Desenzano, a small
town which looks like an amphitheater for
the reason that it is surrounded by moraines
slopes. The cathedral and the “G. Rambotti”
museum, which is storing rests of the early
structure on stilts are definitely worth
seeing as well.
The Lakes’ western part is especially famous
for the little bays and harbors, the ancient
villages with characteristic churches all

“Centomiglia” every year.
The landscape of the Tremosine’s
territory is really beautiful; you can
stroll through olive-covered plateaus, pine
woods, lovely hills, cultivated terraces,
green-grass fields and open-air spectacular
views. A real pleasure to all our senses.
Leaving the mountain part you finally arrive
at Limone, a small town which is
situated directly at the border to the
northern part of Brescia. This lovely and
cheerful village is offering a very natural
