The Lake Garda area: A
magic place between the earth and sky!
Within the whole Italian country it is the
biggest with water covered surface. It is
surrounded by mountains and an amazing
landscape and situated south of the Alps.
The northern part, which is dominated by the
Monte Baldo’s mountain chain is comparable
to a Norwegian fjord: steep mountain faces
and gorges covered with vegetation. The
southern part of the Lake Garda (Po Plain)
is not that rocky and expanding itself into
a wide basin of vegetation of all kinds and
forms.
With its flora and fauna, its valleys,
little islands and winds it represents a
wonderful place really worth seeing. The
villages along the lake with their castles,
museums, churches, markets and traditional
festivals create a typical Mediterranean
atmosphere and Latin characteristic for
which Italians, as we know, are famous for.
As far as tourisms is concerned there is lot
from food and beverage local products to
sight-seeing excursions, from sport
facilities to adventure parks, from
religious places to thermal baths. The
mountains and lowland plains, which are
surrounding the lake are providing a range
of opportunities and offers to satisfy
nearly any desire without depending on a
certain duration of stay.
