FAQ – specifically related to the area Bed&Rest: rooms

Most frequently asked questions to make your journey easier.

Are there any non-smoking rooms?
In all rooms it is kindly requested not to smoke.
Smokers should use the balconies (each room has one and only there you will find an ashtray on the table), the terrace and the garden area or the special smoking-room near the reception.
As you probably know it Italy it is not allowed to smoke in public areas (such as hotel halls, entrance) in restaurants, bars, coffee shops, etc.

Are there rooms for disabled people?
Yes, we have two rooms adapted to the needs of disabled people.
The doors are larger (at least 1 meter), the bathroom more spacious (space around the toilet, large shower where you can enter with a wheelchair), room without architectural barriers, larger balcony. Of course they are reached by a suitable lift.

Do you have single rooms?
No, all hotel rooms are doubles, but we offer them also for single use.

How big are your rooms?
The hotel has double rooms ranging from 20 sq. m. to 40 sq. m.
The suite is more than 60 square meters large.
The measurements refers only to the room (bedroom and toilet) excluding the square footage of the balcony which is extra.
You can find a data sheet for each type of room at the
webpage Hotel-Accommodation.

What size are the beds? Are they double or can they be divided?
The beds are queen-size, which means cm 190 x cm 200.
They are two mattresses attached with double sheets to make a double bed, so you can also have two single/twin beds in the room if you like.

Can I add a third bed in the room? And eventually a fourth?
Yes, in almost all rooms you can use the sofa as an extra bed, so make a request at the time of booking.
In some rooms the sofa is double so it can become an extra double bed.

Do you have beds for children?
Yes, we have beds with safety bars: standard size 135 cm x 67 cm x 47 cm (minimum height).
Please make a request at the time of booking.

Do the rooms have balconies? Can you see the lake from the room?
Yes, all rooms have balconies facing the lake.

Are there umbrellas on the balconies? And sun-beds?
No, there are no umbrellas and sun-beds on the balconies. They are available free of charge only in the garden area used for this purpose.
Only on the third top-floor balconies are large enough to suit sun-umbrellas and sun-beds.
But on all balconies of every room you can find at your disposal two chairs and a table.
Enjoying a glass of wine in the evening regarding the stars in the sky and the beautiful scenery in front of you is one of the most appreciated pleasures during guests holidays in our hotel.

Is there air conditioning?
Yes, all rooms have air conditioning (individually adaptable from 18°C to 25°C  or from 20°C to 27 ° C depending on the temperature outside).
During the cooler periods (April and October) the device also acts as air-heating.

Is there a telephone line?
Yes, all rooms have direct dial telephone. Just dial the 0 to get the outside line.

Can I get calls directly from outside?
No, all incoming calls go through the hotel switchboard for security reasons.
The reception will then connect the external call to the room or take messages during your absence.

Is there an Internet connection?
Yes, all rooms can be connected to the hotel's ADSL network by cable (available at the reception desk).
The rooms on the top-third floor and ground floor also have WI-FI service.
This service has a cost depending on the time of use. For more information ask reception.

Is there a mini-bar?
No, we do not offer this service.
A small complimentary refrigerator is available for your personal things (drinks, fruits, medicine, etc.).

Is there a safe?
Yes, each room has a safety-box inside the cabinet or walk-in closet with instructions for use.

Do you have cable to see foreign channels?
Yes, we do have satellite TV that views the main Italian speaking channels (e.g. RAI, Canale 5, Italia 1, Eurosport), some channels in German language (e.g. ARD, ZDF, Sat1. RTL, Pro 7, DSF,) and some in English language (e.g. BBC, CNN).

Is there an alarm?
Yes, you can ask the reception to have a wake up service trough the room telephone.

Are there bath towels in the room? And hairdryer? And robes? And slippers?
In every room we have white towels for internal use (large and small) and coloured towels for outdoor use (pool, beach, sauna, etc..) as well as a set of toiletries (shampoo, soap, shower cap, toothbrush with toothpaste, nail file, cotton swabs and cotton pads), tissues and a hairdryer.
We provide bathrobes on request upon security deposit charge.
We do not provide slippers.

How do I get clean towels?
The rooms are serviced daily and towels that are left on the bathroom floor will be always changed.
You are not allowed to remove towels from the maids’ trolley, but rather ask them if they still haven’t come to your room or ask at the reception.
Any towels left on chairs, deck chairs, beds and various appendages are folded and put back in the bathroom.
This is because the hotel follows an environment-savings programme: solar panels, recycling, attention in the consumption of detergents, water and recycling of various materials where possible.
Accordingly, we kindly request your participation and invite you to place on the floor only the towels you really wish to have changed and keep the ones you maybe can reuse on the racks.

At what time should I come back to the hotel in the evening?
There is no time limit, even if the entry gate closes at around midnight.
If you arrive later (dinner outside the hotel, disco, theatre, the Arena di Verona, ride to faraway places, etc..) warn our reception to make arrangements with the night porter.
We remind you about the bell at the pedestrian entrance and car gate which can be used at anytime to contact the night porter or who is in charge inside the hotel.
For security reasons, we inform that the entries are monitored by cameras.

What happens if I lose my room card?
We can make a duplicate of your key-card at any moment.
In case of loss, please notify us immediately in order to block unwanted access to your room and hand you a brand new card.
An extra 10.- Euro fee will be charged for each lost or unreturned card.

Until what time can I keep the room the day of departure?
On the day of departure the room should kindly be vacated by 11.00 am to allow cleaning for the next arriving guests.
If you wish to stay longer, we will be happy to keep your luggage on deposit and provide you with common services to give you the chance to take a shower and change before the actual departure.
You can stay in the hotel and enjoy the various services (parking, bar, restaurant, pool and garden, etc.) until the real time of departure.

What is customary for tipping the maids?
Tips are welcome, but not an obligation, it is usually just a "thank you" for good service.
To tip the room-maids just leave the desired amount on the desk in your room.
